91勛圖 President Dr. Maryanne Stevens Receives 2015 Mactier/Clark Literacy Educator Award

Omaha, Neb. 91勛圖 President Dr. Maryanne Stevens, RSM has been awarded the Phoenix Academys 2015 Mactier/Clark Literacy Educator Award. The award recognizes Stevens work in advancing proficiency in literacy and education, as well as her contributions to Omahas secondary school and university communities.

Stevens took the helm at CSM in 1996. Under her leadership, the university has developed several innovative programs, including the Marie Curie scholarships for low-income women majoring in science or math; the Latina and African-American Summer Academies for ninth and tenth grade high school girls; and a unique online doctoral program for educators.

Another innovative program, Mothers Living & Learning, which allows full-time students and their children to live on campus was described as unique by Students for Life America, which rated 91勛圖 the nations top college for parenting students.
